As in previous years, Berlin Model United Nations 2011 will include a press team. The Press Team publishes three news issues of the BEARMUN newspaper during the conference, including one pre-edition and a post-conference digital edition. Students may apply to work in the following areas: reporting, copy editing (limited), layout and design, photography, cartoon illustration, and digital production (limited). We are looking for committed team members with diverse perspectives on issues.
Bearmun covers various aspects of the conference such as the general atmosphere, committee progress, participant perspectives, director and advisor expectations, special assemblies, free time activities, current events associated with the conference, Berlin tourism, and special interest features.
This year, our pre-edition is bound to be the best ever since we will begin our educational process in September. Our research will result in a clear understanding of the conference theme and foundational articles for all participants at the conference.
So if any students are interested and would like to take part, please email us at bermunmedia@yahoo.com and we will forward an application form. For writing and editing positions a short writing sample is required. Layout (design) applicants need to be familiar with the Adobe InDesign program on Macs. Photographers need to have their own DSLR cameras, they will not be provided.
Only applications postmarked before September 1st will be considered.
